Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Audimo is provided by XPRO d.o.o. (“XPRO”, “we”, “our”, or “us”), a company registered in Slovenia with its registered office at Stegne 21C, 1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia. For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Slovenian Personal Data Protection Act, XPRO d.o.o. is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
You can reach us about privacy at info@xpro.si.
2. Scope
This policy explains how we handle personal data when you use the Audimo mobile application and the Audimo website (together, the “Service”).
3. What data we collect
3.1 Audio you capture
When you start captioning or translation, Audimo processes the audio picked up by your device’s microphone (or a connected microphone) in order to generate live text. This audio may include the voices of you and people around you.
3.2 Transcripts and translations
The captions, transcripts, and translations Audimo produces, including any you choose to save on your device or share.
3.3 Account and contact data
If you create an account or contact us, we process the information you provide, such as your name and email address.
3.4 Purchase data
If you buy a subscription or make a purchase, it is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We receive confirmation of your purchase and subscription status, but not your full payment-card details.
3.5 Technical and diagnostic data
Device type, operating-system version, app version, language settings, and — where you enable it or where necessary to operate the Service — crash and diagnostic logs. On the website we process basic server logs (such as IP address and browser type) needed to deliver and secure the site.
4. How we use your data and our legal bases
- To provide the Service — generating captions, translations, and transcripts, and running your account (legal basis: performance of a contract).
- To operate, secure, and improve the Service — troubleshooting, preventing abuse, and improving reliability (legal basis: our legitimate interests).
- To process purchases (legal basis: performance of a contract).
- To communicate with you — responding to support requests and sending service notices (legal basis: contract or legitimate interests).
- To comply with legal obligations.
- With your consent — where we ask for it, for example optional diagnostics or non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
5. How audio and transcripts are handled
To turn speech into text, audio is processed by automated speech-recognition and machine-translation systems, which may include trusted third-party service providers acting on our behalf. Audio is processed to produce the text you see; we do not use your conversations to advertise to you, and we do not sell them.
Transcripts you save are stored on your device unless you choose to share or export them. Where processing requires audio to be transmitted to a service provider, it is transmitted securely and processed only to provide the Service.
6. Who we share data with
We share personal data only as needed to run the Service:
- Service providers (processors) — such as speech-recognition and translation providers, cloud hosting, and analytics or crash-reporting tools — who process data on our behalf under contract.
- App stores — Apple and Google, for purchases and app distribution.
- Authorities — where required by law.
We do not sell your personal data.
7. International transfers
Some of our service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, to protect your data.
8. How long we keep data
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above or as required by law. Diagnostic and account data are retained for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards; transcripts saved on your device remain until you delete them.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at info@xpro.si.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Slovenia, the Information Commissioner (Informacijski pooblaščenec).
10. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
11. Children
The Service is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16.
12. Cookies and the website
The Audimo marketing website uses only the cookies necessary to operate and secure it. If we introduce analytics or other non-essential cookies, we will ask for your consent first and publish a separate cookie notice.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and, where changes are material, provide additional notice.
